Okay, so I've been a bit busy and distracted lately and haven't posted for over a week. I guess I'll let you in on my excuse for being distracted. I've been preparing to become a realtor. I started school this week and will be preparing to take my licensing exam in a few weeks. I'm excited, scared, nervous, happy, and every other emotion that goes with starting something new. I'll try to keep posting over the coming months and let you in on my process of becoming a realtor. I'll be sure to post my cheesy realtor picture once I get it done. It'll be a great laugh for us all. Maybe I'll play the caption game with it! Ah, maybe not.
So far, I've learned more about dirt than I ever imagined. I've learned about land, properties and the proper way to identify them (apparently our home addresses aren't the legal name for our property!). Hmm? How will this help me - I can't wait to find out!

WOW!!! That is some big news! I certainly did not see that coming. I could tell you weren't quite yourself lately so I'm glad it's for a good reason that you've been distracted. Way to go chicky! I'm sure proud of you!
Love ya girl! Ad

My hubby is a Real Estate Broker...Lots of hours but lot's of potential for money...and usually you make your own hours. It takes lots of discipline but if you're the type of person who is disciplined you'll be great. You can make as much or as little as you want. GOOD LUCK!

Thank you for your comment on my site! Isn't it fun to connect across the country with others! We are kinda close...we're in New Mexico. Real Estate is fun. If I didn't love Government so much I would've gotten my license too, and still might, but I really want to teach. I love it that my hubby can make his own hours but at times he has gotten carried away and we've ended up very low on funds! He's been doing it for 4 years and it's been the last 13 months he's really buckled down and done well. It's always hardest in the November-January months. I think you've picked a great career path considering desire to work around family etc...You'll do great I'm sure, and you'll love it too...there so many things you learn from it on the Real Estate and about other people too!

I have two boys - now 7 and 8, but I remember like yesterday their little profile gunning around on bikes with training wheels. Precious time isn't it? Small world too. I spent my early childhood years in Kansas. I'm not sure where your town is, but I was in Lawrence. Love the place!
Have a great weekend

Keep us posted on how it's going. I'll be interested to see how your experience compares to my hubby's.

wifeyandmommy,
You are so sweet to ask about the process. I had though about blogging the process of becoming a realtor but I'm afraid I won't be able to keep up with it, I can hardly keep up with my main blog. I will post occassional updates. Right now I'm trying to get through the exam for the license. I'm scheduled to test on Oct 22, a Saturday. I'll be sure to post on that day.
Thanks, again!
